This black polka dot and oval 8 inch necklace was made in Czechoslovakia in the early 1900's. It was bought to throw in parades during Mardi Gras in New Orleans. The polka dots are considered a rare find. This necklace has 5 polka dot glass beads. This necklace has never been worn or thrown, it is part of a larger collection from a New Orleans native. They were never thrown because parades changed to less expensive plastic throws and the collection has been stored ever since.
