Up for sale is a gorgeous, authentic 1920s Art Deco period necklace featuring a striking molded amethyst purple glass cameo pendant. Dating back to approximately 1925, this beautiful piece showcases an ornate, fluid brass filigree setting that perfectly bridges the gap between late Art Nouveau design and early Art Deco geometry. The focal point is a deeply saturated purple glass centerpiece with a molded floral or cameo relief. It is accented below by a delicate, faceted purple glass drop bead that catches the light beautifully when worn. 17” with a 1 - 1/2” drop. The pendant features its original, aged delicate brass paperclip link chain (also known as a drawn cable or rectangular link chain) with its spring ring clasp known to the era.
