Substantial and unique modernist ring with a gorgeously perfect large princess cut smoky quartz gemstone. The unique architectural sterling setting gives the stone the appearance of floating. The wide shoulders of the ring feature openwork filigree with a stylized floral or four-pointed star cutout pattern. This airy detail nicely balances the heavy, architectural look of the top of the ring. Inner band markings: Stamped 925 for metal purity and next to it is a makers mark Chinese language character (probably either the artists name or the name of a jewelry company) and Made In China in English.
