This is a stunning necklace by Nils Elvik of Norway. The hallmark shows Sterling, Norway and the mark for Elvik. The design is a central chain and lined by balls on both sides of the chain. This is sometimes called the "Bubble" or "Ball Fringe" style. The necklace is 14 1/2 inches in length and has a box clasp closure. The balls on the inside of the chain are larger than the balls on the outside of the chain. This magnificent piece would enhance any jewelry collection. I estimate this piece to be ca. 1940's.
