Natural Baltic cherry amber necklace. 23 inches including clasp, 60 grams. Hand-knotted graduated beads, deep cherry-red in normal light, cognac-gold when backlit. Natural inclusions visible throughout (organic debris, no insects). All of the beads show some natural variation and texture from natural causes—these are not chips nor damage. Some beads have deep crevices or pits. Tested with hot pin (resinous smell) and UV light (blue-green fluorescence), both consistent with natural amber. Screw clasp mechanism is plastic with amber end caps; beads are natural amber. Sourced from an estate lot at the Naschmarkt flea market in Vienna, Austria.
