Do not know if this stone is original to this setting (you'll notice, the cabochon is not completely centered on the base,but is very solid and sturdy.) The cabochon appears to be one produced by Max Neiger or Neiger Brothers based on my research. There are no inside markings on the ring, so the type of metal is unknown. Size of the ring is a 7.5.
