Art Deco Chinese export hand-carved bovine bone rose bead necklace, 1920s. Hand-knotted stringing between each bead prevents them from rubbing together and chipping. A classic spring ring clasp has detached from the knotting, leaving visible green residue (verdigris) on the thread. (Selling AS IS for repair or repurposing): - The clasp mechanism has broken off/detached from one end of the stringing. - The original spring ring clasp is included but detached. - There is visible green verdigris (oxidation) on the thread near the detached end. - The thread is vintage and may be fragile; restringing is highly recommended before wearing. - Bone beads show beautiful hand-carved variations and normal age-related wear, but no major chips or cracks observed.
