TODAY FOR AUCTION Vintage Handmade 14k White Gold 0.94ct Natural, Heated Ceylon Sapphire and Natural Diamond size: 4 Ring, 4.0 grams Graded M This is an absolutely gorgeous, handmade natural heated Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. This vintage ring was manufactured by SPCL, a jewelry manufacturing company that started over 46 years ago. This fine quality ring features 16 natural round cut heated Ceylon sapphire gemstones, with a most desirable deep blue color. There are also 4 color-G-H, VS2-SI2- clarity, natural not enhanced, bright white fiery brilliant cut diamonds. These near colorless natural diamonds have a perfect dispersion of light, so they glow with all the bright and vivid colors of the rainbow. The powerful contrast between the vibrant, very rich deep blue color of the heated sapphires and the sparkle of the bright, white diamonds is amazing. The stones were hand set in a very sophisticated 14kt plumb white gold ring mounting, so it is exactly 14k. The thick, very powerful mounting was totally handmade, from wax carving to centrifuged hand casting to hand finishing and polishing. The white gold used in the mounting is very bright and white, which means that either platinum, palladium or rhodium was used. In either case, that makes the white gold in this ring almost twice the cost of regular white gold. The good thing is that the white gold will stay bright white for a lifetime. All of the gems were hand set into thick, strong prongs, so they are very secure. This 2 tier ring will stand 7.7mm high, this piece will make a most beautiful statement when worn. This lovely, very elegant ring will transcend generations.
