Antique 1930s Belais NY USA 18K White Gold Sapphire Diamond Ladies Watch Case

ANTIQUE CIRCA 1930s ERA, DAVID BELAIS / BELAIS MFG. CO., NEW YORK USA 18K WHITE GOLD, 0.08 CTW TRILLION CUT SAPPHIRE ACCENT, WITH PETITE DIAMOND ACCENT, HAND CHASED, ART DECO DESIGN, RECTANGULAR SHAPED, WOMEN’S WRIST WATCH CASE / BEZEL ONLY NO PERSONAL MONOGRAMS OR ENGRAVINGS, MEASURES 14.5mm or 9/16″ WIDE, OCTAGON SHAPED INTERIOR IS 8mm or 5/16″ x 14.5mm or 9/16″ TOTAL WEIGHT OF 3.4 GRAMS IT IS BEING SOLD IN AS-IS, FOR REPAIR CONDITION AS THE WIRE BAND LUGS ARE BOTH CUT It is being sold in AS-IS for repair condition, as the wire band lug ends were both cut by the previous owner to remove the non-gold band. Otherwise, it shows typical normal wear from use and storage, including light surface marks, scratches, and a few light dents. It has been gently hand polished and cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine and is very clean. It is straight, not bent out of shape, has no personal monograms or engravings, stones have nice color and clarity, with no major issues at all. It is hallmarked on the inside BELAIS 18K inside the shape of a letter M, mark for who we correctly believe to be historic and listed USA fine jewelry maker, David Belais / Belais Manufacturing Co. of New York. They are well known for being one of the earliest US jewelers to market white gold. We did perform a stone and acid test and it confirms 18K and stones were tested with a Gemlogis Ciel tester and confirm sapphires and diamonds. HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE: The last photo shown was taken from a 1920s era Jewelry Trademark book and completely documents this mark and maker. This is great, very collectible and more hard to find piece for those that collect fine antique jewelry, jewelry by this maker, or watches and cases!
