Antique Mediterranean Sciacca Salmon Coral 23½” Necklace 5-9.3mm Bead 14k Clasp

Here is a stunning Antique Coral bead Necklace in a rich salmon color and with a 14k gold clasp. These beads were crafted from rare Sciacca coral, during the ‘Red Gold’ Rush of the late 19th century. This necklace has recently been restrung, with the beads being individually knotted onto 100% silk cord, protecting the beads from grinding against each-other and ensuring a secure strand that will last for many years to come. The necklace features a 14k gold tube clasp, encased in a coral bead. The beads range in size from 4mm to 9.3mm; the necklace measures 23-1/2” in length and weighs 36.4 grams. Naturally, since these beads are fairly old, they have developed a slight flattening around the drill holes, which one would expect in antique coral beads.
