Stunning dogwood motif hammered aluminum earrings, featuring the wide clip back characteristic of ‘40s jewelry. The clips are excellent, and there are no conditional issues to report. The stainless backs have darkened somewhat over time. It was considered patriotic to adorn one’s self with jewelry and accessories made from available wartime metals—like aluminum. Beautiful classic infinity set almost looks like a ribbon. 3 inch long pin. Pin stem is bent a little but still works. Signed Renoir on the back. Does show some scratches and light wear. Could use a good polishing, but I leave that up to the buyer. Same with the earrings. Same condition. Signed on the clip, which is stainless or white metal. The rest of the earring is copper.
