Rare Edwardian Era Gabriel Stalin Fairy Nymph Glass Sash Buckle

Rare Edwardian Gabriel Stalin glass fairy nymph matte glass medallion still intact with its original casein plastic base. The fairy/nymph is somewhat three dimensional and protrudes from the medallion base and plays on shadows and light. This gives her the ethereal appearance to be coming out of the glass when the piece is turned. She has wings, flowing hair, and is holding up a graceful, floating gown swirling around her. A beautiful and collectible piece of art. The buckle measures over 2 1/4 inches. A little of the original iridescent coating remains and this can be seen in the 9th picture. The silver backing of the glass picks up other colors and shadows which adds additional interest. Some of the photos reflect what was in the background behind me and are not discolorations.
