14k Gold Plate Laminate Top Body Engraved Victorian Bar Pin Brooch

Late Victorian probably around 1900-1905. Looks like a new safety clasp has been added and pin shortened. Lovely shine to the gold laminate top which was carefully tested for 14k gold. This is an estate piece which has been in the family for many years. Gold laminate means there is a thin sheet of 14k gold on the top of the brooch with engraving. The rest of the brooch is gold plate which has signs of wear. Pin moves and locks securely and can be worn safely.
