Antique Italian Gilt Silver Filigree Panel Bracelet, Natural Salmon Coral Drops
A delicate filigree bracelet in gilded silver, bought in Italy as antique in the 70s, it has natural salmon pink coral drops as a form of safety chain. The filigree is all by hand and hair-thin, very skillful construction, with gilding in good condition pretty much everywhere but the tab of the box clasp, normal wear there. The clasp has a mark, I believe the Italian 800 mark for silver fineness, but it’s mostly illegible to me. It’s certainly from before 1934 (marking changed), maybe very late 19th to early 20th century, and likely from Genoa. It comes with the box I received it in (a gift from my boss) and is still elegant and fully wearable today. See details below.
