An important thing to mention regarding condition descriptions of antique and vintage jewelry is its judgement criteria which is very different than that applied to modern jewelry. If a ring is stamped 14k, it could actually be 13k. Various factors can account for this. Among them being repairs or sizings performed through the years. Assume all antique and vintage jewelry might have these small differences in gold content. I believe the industry consensus is that such a small difference has little to no influence on the value of the item, especially if the item doesn’t have significant amounts of gold.
