THIS IS A STUNNING ANTIQUE BALTIC BUTTERSCOTCH EGG YOLK AMBER NECKLACE WEIGHING 74 GRAMS – GORGEOUS!!!! This is a wonderful old strand of natural chunky amber beads. The amber has wonderful natural swirls ranging from light egg yolk, butterscotch and honey in color with solid opaque and translucent areas. The beads at the top are mostly egg yolk butterscotch amber, the bottom half has honey amber spacers with large butterscotch egg yolk amber. The largest bead is 35 mm by 22 mm by 10 mm. The large white bead is 23 by 13 by 12 mm. The necklace is 24 inches (60 cm) long. It weighs 74 grams. It is guaranteed to be natural butterscotch amber. The necklace consists of seventy-one impressive vintage 1980’s cultured pearls. The necklace secures with an antique pierced decorated, rectangular shaped push fit clasp; amalgamating antique and vintage elements to produce single item of jewelry was common practice in the 1910’s. The antique 1910’s clasp is ornamented with a stunning central collet set 0.66ct round faceted cut green sapphire, flanked with two impressive pavé set Old European round cut diamonds totalling 0.88ct. The stunning clasp has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 12 carat gold. This impressive single strand pearl necklace and clasp is supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card.
